Policy for Students & No Refund Policy

Policy for Students

In an effort to help students have the most productive experience in acting class, there is a protocol to help the classes run smoothly.

A minimum deposit of 50% of tuition is needed to enroll in classes paid with a credit/debit card, check or cash.  There are no refunds for any classes.

Workshop Advanced for the Working Actor is an ongoing monthly class. Students who are invited into this class. may book in/out monthly. Tuition for Workshop Advanced for the Working Actor is due monthly on the 26th day which will be applied for the following month. Students will be charged by the credit/debit card on file unless student pays by cash, check. Prorating monthly tuition is possible for Workshop Advanced for the Working Actor students if the partial month is paid along with the following entire month.

Again, there are no refunds. If a class is missed the student will get up more the following class to complete missed work. If there is an unforeseen emergency or illness where more than two classes are missed, it is at the discretion of Charlotte Acting to decide if the student may enter a later session to make up the multiple classes missed.

If a student wishes to book out of Workshop Advanced written Email communication is needed by the 20th of the month for the following month’s leave. This will allow scene partners to plan accordingly, and for a new or returning student to take the available space in class. If there is no written email communication by the 20th of the month, the student will be charged for the following month via credit/debit card on file.

If a student plans on being absent or late to class, Email watt@charlottacting.com and scene partner(s) as soon as possible. Sessions start on time, there is a 5-minute break. If a student is late to an in-person or an online class they should look to see if a scene/exercise is finished before entering the class. It is mandatory that homework/rehearsals are completed before class.

Students should not read texts during class. Students receive as much knowledge from someone else’s critique as from their own. In an emergency, student should leave the class to use the phone.

Cancelations for a Private Session needs 48-hour written Email notice for student to reschedule the Private Session. Again, no refunds are given.

Student may only list a class on their resume after it is completed. When listing training: [Name of class] with Linda Ann Watt, Charlotte Acting.

No Refund Policy

No refunds are given. If there is an absence, the student will get up more to make up work when the student returns. If entire class 7-session cannot be attended, the tuition will be held for the student to attend a later session of the classes.

If paying in installments, final payment needs to be paid two weeks before the start of class or student will lose their spot in class. Partial paid tuition will be held. Student will need to email watt@charlotteacting.com to re-register for future session.
