This class gives fundamentals in acting for film and stage. Learn the disciplines of Stanislav ski, Adler, Meisner, and Strasberg along with Linda's insights and techniques to bring emotional connection to character. Students are introduced to relaxation, sense memory, “what if” and repetition exercises. Students also learn improvisation, cold reading for auditioning and in-depth scene study. This class covers the “business of acting,” and the culture of the industry in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta. Linda's book The Actor's Manifesto; Create a Successful Acting Career, available on Amazon, is needed for this class. After attending this class students are ready to audition professionally and are invited into Workshop Advanced for the Working Actor.

This workshop is for the professional actor who studied Stanislavski's system, Meisner, Adler and/or Strasberg techniques. It is also open to writers and directors. Classes offer techniques for on-camera and stage. Scenes in-person are videotaped for critique. Actors invited or considered with audition.
Directors/writers considered with reel/writing sample.
4-weekly sessions per month. Book in/out monthly.

99.99% of auditions are recorded and uploaded onlilne. Polish your auditioning skills. Actors receive information to set up the best home studio for videoing/editing auditions including sides (a scene) with different scenarios and critiqued on their taped audition.
Technical information for best home studio, how to setup camera (iPhone, iPod), lights and microphone, back-ground, how to slate, how to edit and upload the scene.
