This class gives fundamentals in acting for stage and film. Learn the disciplines of Stanislavski, Adler, Meisner, Strasberg, Katselas, Caine, Bogart and Watt. Students are introduced to relaxation, sense memory, “what if” and repetition exercises. Students also learn improvisation, on-camera auditioning and in-depth scene study. This class covers the “business of acting,” and the culture of the industry in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta.

Tuition: $298 for 16-hrs of intense training.

Master Class Working On-Camera

using "Film Format" Technique with

Cory Riback and Linda Ann Watt

8-Weekly Sessions, Fridays 7:00-10:00PM

Students learn acting techniques for camera. Actors are supplied scenes to perform on-camera and also learn the importance of continuety watching their scenes being edited.

Students work with professional equipment including HD Broadcast Camera, Sennheiser Microphone, Boom, Lavalier Microphones, Lighting Equipment, Green Screen, Adobe Premiere Editing, Teleprompter and Looping Screen. This class prepares the actor to work onset. Students get to keep unedited class footage.

Tuition: $589 professional equipment included.

Workshop Advanced for the Working Actor

using "Method" Techniques with Linda Ann Watt

Ongoing Weekly Sessions, Wednesdays 7:00-9:00PM

This class is for the professional actor who has studied Stanislavski's system, Meisner and/or Strasberg techniques. This workshop is also open to writers and directors. Actors considered with audition. Directors/writers considered with reel/writing sample.

Tuition: $140 per month for 4-weekly classes.

The discipines of Stanislavski, Strasberg, Adler, Meisner, Katselas, Bogart and Watt are explored using intent, personalization, substitution, creative hiding and physical action. Campers learn how to breakdown a scene, “on-camera” cold reading, the audition process and the “business of acting.” Parents are invited to attend the “business of acting" session. Campers receive a Charlotte Acting T-shirt.

Tuition: $289 for 15-hrs of intense training.

Youth: Ages 11-16

Intermediate Acting & Scene Study Camp

using "Method" Techniques with Linda Ann Watt

2- Weeks, Monday-Friday 10:00AM-1:00PM

Summer: July 29-Aug. 9

Those who attend Beginning Acting & Scene Study may take part in this Intermediate Camp. At the end of this intensive, actors will be able to break down scenes, implement tools for emotional connection to character and audition with confidence. Those with finished scenes may appear in the Actors' Showcase in Atlanta, later in the year (please inquire).

Tuition: $550 for 30-hrs of intense training.

 

Youth: Ages 11-16
