CHARLOTTE ACTING

Actor's Tools

Time to get your "Reel" in order? A reel should be 2 minutes. Your best work first. The time a casting director will watch before making a decision is 12 seconds. If your reel is chronological, or has too much fat, the casting director might never see your best work!

Corlin Productions with over 25 years of experience in Hollywood, offers professional editing and production services for actor’s reels. All shoots include consultation, rehearsal and direction.

Monoscene: Is a short 20-30 second scene, which focuses on you. There is an over-the-shoulder shot of the other actor but there are no cuts or reverse shots. All attention is on your character.

Corlin’s writers craft an original scene with the type you can portray. This highlights you for casting directors to see you in the best light. Corlin’s visual location and lighting complements the scene. Sound and music are added for an edited professional look.

Two-Person Scene: Approximately one-minute, which focuses *equally on both actors. You may use an existing scene or Corlin writers can craft an original scene, keeping in mind the type of characters each of you can portray. Corlin’s visual location and lighting complements the scene, each actor is highlighted and there are over-the-shoulder shots and editing including sound and music, just like a feature film.

Editing: Have work you’ve done and need to edit it for a reel? Corlin Productions offers professional editing services.

Taping Auditions: Corlin Productions can tape your audition with professional equipment, sound and lighting, and upload it to the casting director or agent.
